Service Description

Indian head massage is a form of therapeutic massage that originated in India over a thousand years ago. The massage primarily focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders, but it may also include the arms, upper back, and face. It is deeply rooted in the Ayurvedic tradition, which emphasises the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit for overall well-being. During an Indian head massage session I use a variety of massage techniques, including kneading, rubbing, and tapping, to release tension and promote relaxation. The massage often includes the use of oils, and I may also incorporate techniques such as acupressure to stimulate specific energy points. Indian head massage is believed to have various benefits, including: - Stress Reduction: The massage helps to relax the muscles and release tension, promoting a sense of calm and reducing stress. - Improved Circulation: The stimulation of the scalp and other areas enhances blood flow, which can contribute to better circulation. - Relief from Headaches and Migraines: The massage may alleviate headaches and migraines by reducing muscle tension in the head and neck. - Enhanced Sleep: Many people find that Indian head massage helps them relax, leading to improved sleep quality. - Increased Energy and Concentration: By promoting relaxation, the massage can contribute to increased energy levels and improved concentration.
