Service Description

Join us once more as we celebrate the seasonal wheel of the year for our Mabon ritual Soundbath and meditation. You will be invited to find peace and tranquillity as we follow the path within. Known as the pagan Thanksgiving, Mabon marks the Autumn Equinox, when day and night are equal, making it a time of balance, equality and harmony. In ancient times Mabon was a celebration of the second harvest (Lughnasadh was the first) when farmers gathered hearty foods like gourds, pumpkins, grapes and apples. Modern Mabon celebrations are a time to give thanks for the abundance of Mother Earth - both literally and spiritually. It’s also a good time to reflect on the Wheel of the Year, recognising your successes and letting go of the things that did not serve you during the past twelve months. At this Ritual sound bath we invite you to reflect and journey within yourself to the landscapes of your soul. We will travel through soundscapes and visualisation to uncover hidden ‘signposts’ and personal messages to help you understand your thoughts and feelings. This will give clarity and foresight as we enter the new season. Our Sabbat celebrations are a combination of sound healing, chant, meditation, deep journeying, soul enquiry and introspection. We will use four gongs, Tibetan singing bowls, monochords, crystal pyramid, crystal singing bowls, Koshi chimes, tingshas, alchemy bells, shamanic drums, rainmakers, didgeridoos, two varieties of cosmic sound chimes and many other instruments. A sound bath focuses more on enveloping you in the relaxing, meditative sound waves from singing bowls, gongs and other instruments. The concept of sound baths originated in Tibet some 2000 years ago. You will be asked to settle down in a comfortable space complete with a pillow. You’ll then close your eyes and make yourself cosy under a blanket. I will encourage you to relax your body muscle by muscle before starting to play gongs, singing bowls or other instruments. The sounds will start off softly to ease you in, but will get progressively louder. Instead of giving you a headache, they have the clever ability to soothe your mind. It’s important that you are warm and as comfortable as possible. Wearing loose clothing is advisable. Sound therapy can help reduce stress and liberate emotional blockages. Not suitable for the first trimester of pregnancy. Please make me aware of any serious health concerns.
