This involves me guiding individuals through practices aimed at cultivating mindfulness, relaxation, and a heightened sense of awareness. Meditation is a centuries-old practice with roots in various spiritual and cultural traditions, and it has gained widespread popularity for its potential benefits in promoting mental well-being and reducing stress. Here are the key elements involved in teaching meditation: - Knowledge and Understanding: I have a solid understanding of different meditation techniques, philosophies, and the science behind meditation's impact on the mind and body. - Personal Meditation Practice: I have my own regular meditation practice. Personal experience with meditation allows me to authentically share insights, challenges, and benefits with my clients. - Tailoring to the Audience: I adapt my approach to the needs and preferences of their audience. Whether teaching beginners, a specific demographic (e.g., children, seniors), or individuals with specific concerns (e.g., stress, anxiety) I tailor the meditation sessions accordingly. - Guided Meditation: I guide the individual through meditation sessions. This includes providing verbal instructions to help participants relax, focus, and explore their inner experiences. Guided meditations may vary in length and theme. - Creating a Relaxing Environment: Setting the right atmosphere is crucial for a positive meditation experience. The Tree Sanctuary is a very relaxed and comfortable environment. - Breath Awareness: Many meditation practices emphasise breath awareness as a central element. I guide students in observing and regulating their breath, fostering a sense of presence and calming the mind. - Mindfulness Techniques: Mindfulness is a key aspect of meditation. I often introduce mindfulness techniques that encourage non-judgmental awareness of thoughts, emotions, and sensations in the present moment. - Posture and Body Awareness: Instructing participants on proper meditation posture and encouraging body awareness are essential. This ensures physical comfort and helps prevent distraction during meditation.

I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as I can. • All payments must be made at the point of booking. • I operate a zero refund or transfer policy on any event. • Goods in the shop need to be paid for and collected. • Gift vouchers have a one year redemption date. • The basic kit list for classes unless otherwise stated are : Yoga mat, cushion and blanket (camp chair if floor work is not manageable), water bottle, notebook and pen.
