Service Description

Reiki is a form of complementary therapy that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word "Reiki" is derived from the Japanese words "rei," meaning universal, and "ki," meaning life energy or vital force. There is a universal life force energy that flows through all living beings, and this energy promotes healing, relaxation, and overall well-being. Key aspects of Reiki include: - Energy Healing: Reiki is based on the concept of channelling healing energy through the hands of the practitioner to the recipient. The practitioner acts as a conduit for the universal life force energy, allowing it to flow through them and into the recipient. - Holistic Approach: Reiki is often considered a holistic therapy that addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual. It is believed that imbalances or blockages in the energy flow can lead to various health issues, and Reiki aims to restore balance. - Hands-On: Reiki sessions can be conducted with either hands-on. I lightly place my hands on or near the recipient's body, focusing on specific energy centres or chakras. - Universal Energy Activation: I've been through an attunement process where a Reiki master imparts the ability to channel the healing energy. - Relaxation and Stress Reduction: One of the primary benefits of Reiki is its ability to induce a state of deep relaxation. Many people find Reiki sessions calming and stress-reducing, which can contribute to improved overall well-being. - Complementary Therapy: Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments. While it is not a substitute for medical care, some individuals use Reiki to support their overall health and address issues such as pain, anxiety, or fatigue. - Non-Invasive: Reiki is a non-invasive therapy that involves gentle touch or simply holding the hands over the body. There is no manipulation of tissues or use of substances.
