Remedial Massages
A form of massage that is focused on addressing specific musculoskeletal issues or injuries.
Service Description
Remedial massage is a therapeutic form of massage that is focused on addressing specific musculoskeletal issues, injuries, or conditions to promote healing and recovery. It is often used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for various physical ailments and is performed by qualified remedial massage therapists. This type of massage involves a thorough assessment of the client's condition and the application of specific techniques to target the underlying causes of discomfort or dysfunction. Includes swedish massage, deep tissue and sports massage. Here are key features of remedial massage: - Assessment and Evaluation: Before the massage session, I conduct a thorough assessment to understand the client's condition, including their medical history, lifestyle, and specific areas of concern. Assessment may involve observing posture, range of motion, and muscle imbalances, and conducting palpation to identify areas of tension, tightness, or dysfunction. - Treatment Plan: Based on the assessment, I develop a personalised treatment plan. This plan may involve a series of remedial massage sessions, along with recommended exercises, stretches, or lifestyle modifications to support the healing process. - Techniques: I use a variety of techniques to address specific issues. These techniques may include deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilisation, and stretching. The goal is to release muscle tension, improve circulation, enhance flexibility, and promote overall musculoskeletal health. - Conditions Addressed: Remedial massage is often used to address a range of conditions, such as chronic pain, muscle tension, sports injuries, postural issues, and rehabilitation from injuries or surgeries. It may also be beneficial for conditions like headaches, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and conditions related to stress and tension.
